These terms apply to services offered by Bayu Tech, an online AI development school based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our registered address is Jalan Imbi 88, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. References to "Bayu Tech", "we", "us", or "our" in these terms refer to this entity.
We offer structured online courses in AI and machine learning for learners at various stages of experience. Our current programmes are the AI Starter Course, the Machine Learning Track, and the Deep Learning Commons.
2. Use of the Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of this site. You agree not to:
- Transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or disruptive
- Use automated tools to scrape or copy content from the site without our written consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its underlying infrastructure
- Use the site in any way that imposes an unreasonable burden on our servers
We reserve the right to suspend or block access to any user who breaches these conditions.
3. Course Enrolment and Access
Enrolment in a course is confirmed once payment has been received and you have received a confirmation message from us. Access to course materials is provided through our learning platform and is personal to the enrolled learner.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to enrol
- Course access is for individual use only and may not be shared with others
- Login credentials are personal; sharing them with third parties is not permitted
- For cohort-based courses, access begins on the stated cohort start date
Where course descriptions state lifetime access or alumni space access, this refers to access for as long as the platform and programme are active. We will provide reasonable notice if a programme is discontinued.
4. Fees and Payment
All fees are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Current course fees are:
- AI Starter Course — RM 970
- Machine Learning Track — RM 1,430
- Deep Learning Commons — RM 1,860
Payment is processed through our designated payment provider. We do not store payment card details. Full payment is required before access is granted unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with us. Fees are subject to change for future cohorts; fees agreed at the time of enrolment will not change for that enrolment.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances change. Our refund policy is as follows:
- Before course start date: A full refund will be provided if a cancellation request is received at least 7 calendar days before the cohort start date.
- Within 7 days of start date: A partial refund of 50% will be offered if the request is received within 7 days of the start date, provided less than two weeks of course content have been accessed.
- After two weeks of access: No refund will be issued once two or more weeks of course content have been accessed.
To request a cancellation or refund, contact us at [email protected] with your enrolment details. We aim to process all refund requests within 14 working days. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Malaysian consumer law.
6. Course Delivery and Scheduling
Course materials are delivered online. Cohort start dates and weekly clinic times are communicated to enrolled learners before each cohort begins. We make reasonable efforts to deliver courses as described, including scheduled mentor clinics and peer channels.
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to course content, scheduling, or delivery format where necessary. Where a significant change is made (such as a substantial change in duration or core content), we will inform enrolled learners and offer the option to withdraw with a full refund.
Bayu Tech is not responsible for technical difficulties on the learner's side, such as internet connectivity issues or device incompatibilities.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including videos, notes, exercises, code examples, and written content, are the intellectual property of Bayu Tech or our content contributors, and are protected under Malaysian copyright law.
Enrolled learners are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use course materials for their own learning during the access period. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute course materials in whole or in part
- Share access credentials or downloaded materials with others
- Use course materials for commercial purposes without our written consent
The Bayu Tech name, logo, and branding are our property. Nothing in these terms grants you the right to use them.
8. Conduct and Community Standards
We aim to keep our learning community a calm and respectful space. All learners are expected to:
- Treat fellow learners and mentors with courtesy
- Engage in peer channels and group spaces in good faith
- Avoid sharing personal contact details of other learners without consent
- Refrain from posting promotional content, spam, or off-topic material in shared spaces
We reserve the right to remove a learner from a cohort without refund if conduct is found to be harmful to the learning environment of others. We will contact the learner before any such decision is made.
9. Limitation of Liability
Bayu Tech provides courses and learning support in good faith. However, we do not warrant that course completion will lead to any specific career outcome, employment result, or level of skill attainment. Learning outcomes vary by individual effort, prior experience, and context.
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Bayu Tech will not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses arising from course participation or non-completion
- Losses resulting from technical failures outside our reasonable control
